The intention of this site is to make publicly available material from programming courses and tutorials at KTH School of Architecture. The focus of these tutorials is to introduce basic concepts of programming to architecture students. The goal is to explore programming as a form of architectural notation that allows the scripting of environments or understanding architectural form as a consequence of processes of formation. Programs fundamentally allow to represent and design the unfolding of events in time, as the greek etymology of the word “programma” indicates: pro, meaning forth, and gram, which means written or inscribed . A program is a text written in a programming language that specifies in advance a series of steps to be subsequently performed or executed.
